A Newcomer

Gloaming travels along the perimeter of the area, flicking his tail anxiously. His scars are testament to not being cautious in open areas. He always left any opponents with their fair share of marks from a conflict, but at the price of his own wounds. For the moment satisfied that the area was safe he lets out a loud bellowing whinny as a notification of his presence. Being new to the area, he was curious as to who frequented the place.

From the other side of the river, Kai, laying right on the edge of the water, daydreaming, could here the whinnying loud and strong. So she whinnied back in return, maybe hoping to find this horse and see what was going on. She began to stand up, kicking a few rocks away from their origins and splashing the water with her heavy hooves.
